Albert "Chief" Rodriguez

Albert "Chief" Rodriguez 59 of Pecos passed away Sunday August 23, 2020 at his residence. He was born April 26, 1961 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico to Alberto and Maria Delia Rodriguez. He was a Christian by faith and a carpenter. He married Myra Gomez April 26, 1991 in Lancaster, Texas and were married for 29 years. Chief was known to be a hardworking handyman he was a go-getter, he considered himself an outdoorsman, loved to fish and it did not matter which lake it was at. He loved to bar-b-que, he was also a very down to earth type of person, but he also had his wild side to him. Most of all he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much. Dad you will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Lillie Lujan.

He is survived by his wife Myra Gomez Rodriguez of 29 years, daughters Joni Martinez and husband Alfredo, Tess Rodriguez and husband Alejandro Hernandez , and Karen Zuniga and husband John all of Pecos, sister Delia Carrasco and husband Ruben of Pecos and brother Samuel Rodriguez and wife Laura of Artesia, N Mexico.

Chief also leaves to cherish his memory 9 grandchildren John, Raina, Karsyn, August, Jace, Jzyrik, Daniel, Adalei, and Jaxtyn.

Due to COVID-19 visitation is set for 40 persons only Monday August 31, 2020 at 9am-4pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Six feet social distancing guidelines apply, and masks are required.

Funeral services are set for 10am Tuesday September 1, 2020 at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Serrano officiating. Same guidelines apply.

Burial will be 1pm Tuesday September 1, 2020 at the Balmorhea Cemetery in Balmorhea, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Mark Dominguez, Erik Garcia, John Zuniga, Alfredo Martinez, Alejandro Hernandez, and Garyn Lopez. Honorary pallbearer Johnny Gomez.
