Obituary

Alicia Valeriano Magana, a beloved mother, grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, in Pecos, Texas. She was born on October 5, 1950, in San Antonio Del Bravo, Mexico, to the late Manuela and Casimiro Valeriano.

Alicia's heart radiated warmth and kindness, a reflection of the rich love she shared with her family and friends throughout her life.Alicia is lovingly remembered for her culinary talents, especially her famous tortillas and tamales, which brought family and friends together around the dining table. She married the love of her life, Raul Magana, on March 26, 1969. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and a deep sense of family.

Preceded in death by her devoted husband Raul, as well as her parents and siblings Hector, Gregorio, Arturo Valeriano, and Rosa Cordova, Alicia leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She is survived by her children, Raquel Valles and husband Jose, Rudy Magana and wife Samantha, Capi Magana and wife Monica, and her ten cherished grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Additionally, Alicia is survived by her sisters, Lupe Michaelis and husband Gordon, Yolanda Chavarria and husband Gerardo, and her brothers, Jesus Valeriano and wife Anna, Pedro Valeriano and wife Licha, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Magana, Capi Magana, Jessie Magana, Abraham Porras Jr, Fabian Bustamantes, Jose Valles Jr, Jose Valles Sr, Raul Magana.

The family will celebrate Alicia's life with a Visitation beginning on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue on into Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary to take place at 7:00 PM on Thursday. Mass will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas. Following the Mass, Alicia will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Pecos, Texas.

Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.
