Angel Vela, 56, beloved father, grandfather, father-in-law, and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on September 13, 2026. He entered this world on March 6, 1970, in Juarez, Mexico, to Jose Angel and Alicia Chavez Vela.

Angel is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Angel Vela and Alicia Chavez Vela.

He is survived by his sons, Isaac Vela, Isaiah Vela, and Israel Vela; granddaughters, Adalynn, Rozzie, and Sarae Vela; grandson, Santiago Vela; daughter-in-law, Jasiah Salas; brother, Fernando Vela; and sisters, Lucy Vela, Martha Vela, Gavi Vela, Claudia Vela, Bertha Vela, Valerie Sanchez, and Sarah Vela. Known for his love of the Dallas Cowboys, Angel never missed watching a game.

A jokester at heart, he was always ready to lend a hand and was rarely seen without a smile. His kind-hearted nature and humorous stories brought laughter to all who knew him. Cherishing Bob Marley’s music, Angel will be greatly missed for his joyful spirit. He lived each day to the fullest, creating memorable moments with everyone he encountered.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home, with burial following at Greenwood Cemetery.
