Anita Montano

Anita C. Montano, 64, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, in Odessa, Texas. She was born April 21, 1956 to Victorio and Maria Flores Carrasco in Pecos, Texas. Anita was a lifetime Pecos resident

and a Christian, and a Caretaker.

She is preceded in death by both her parents Victorio and Maria Flores Carrasco, brother; Ruben Carrasco, and sisters; Victoria Renteria, and Rosaida Rodriguez.

Anita is survived by sons; Carlos (Angela) Montano of Odessa, Texas, Benjamin (Lorina Barragan) Montano of Pecos, Texas, daughters; Crystal (Arnaldo) Ibarra of Terrell, Texas, Ermelinda (Hermenegildo) Garcia of Pecos, Texas, Delfa Garcia (Ramiro Guerra Jr.) of Pecos, Texas. Brothers; Ismael Carrasco of Pecos, Texas, Juan Carrasco also of Pecos, Texas, Sisters; Maria Martinez of Pecos, Texas, and Antonia Arenivas also of Pecos, Texas, 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Anita was loved so much by her children because she raised all of them as a single mother. She enjoyed every minute spent with her family. Anita looked forward every day to her video calls with her grandbabies, and great grandbabies. She loved to help anyone she came in contact with that’s why she was loved by many. She always looked forward to her dinner dates with her sisters.

Visitation will be Tuesday December 1, 2020 from 9 am. to 4 pm., and Wednesday December 2, 2020 from 9 am to 4pm. at Pecos Funeral Home. Chapel Service will be held on Thursday December 3, 2020 at 10 am. at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.

Pallbearers; Jose Luis Jimenez, Arnaldo Ibarra, Hermenegildo Garcia, Arnaldo Ibarra Jr., Benjamin Montano Jr., Adriel Montano, Ramiro Guerra Jr., Jose Xavier Garcia, and Honorary Pallbearers; Sergio Montano, Matthew Ibarra, and Ryan Garcia.

Due to the COVID-19 Outbreak we are limiting the visitation to the immediate family up to 25 people, masks are required to enter the funeral home. At the graveside services will be outside and social distancing and mask are required.
