Aurelia C. Hernandez

Aurelia Castruita Hernandez, 88, of Pecos, passed away on March 25, 2024 in Pecos.  Aurelia was born in La Muralla, Mexico to Leonardo Castruita and Santos Ramos on November 12, 1935. She married Tito Hernandez in 1951 in Villa de Fuentes Mexico. She was a lifetime homemaker and a Christian. She enjoyed attending church and praising God with songs.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tito Hernandez.

Aurelia is survived by son Rogelio Hernandez, spouse Rosa; daughters Olga Hernandez, Juanita Sanchez, Elfida Hernandez, Lucina Ruiz, spouse Juan; Esperanza Munoz, spouse Jorge; Oralia Burciaga, spouse Pedro. 30 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Luis Rodriguez, Jorge J Munoz, Omar Burciaga, Juan Ruiz Jr, Alan Fuentes, David D Fuentes, Isaac and Osvaldo Sevillano. Honorary pallbearer Tito E Rodriguez.

The family of Aurelia wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Reeves Regional Health nursing department and physical therapy staff for the care they provided for our mother, and to Pastor Carlos Porras and Iglesia Emmanuel for their thoughts and prayers during this time.

Visitation will be Tuesday March 26 from 5 pm – 9pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral home. Service with officiating Pastor 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday March 27 at Iglesia Emmanuel with Pastor Carlos Porras officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Peaceful Garden Funeral home.
