In Loving Memory of Daniel Gomez
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Daniel Gomez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who passed away peacefully at home on August 31, 2026.
Daniel was born on April 29, 1945, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua. He lived a life rich in love, laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family. Daniel was a proud resident of Pecos for more than five decades, where he built a life filled with family, friendships, and countless cherished memories.
Daniel was the cherished son of the late Nestor and Carmen Gomez, who instilled in him the values of hard work, dedication, and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved sister, Delia; his brother, Manuel; and his granddaughter, Angela Rose, whose memory he carried forever in his heart.
Daniel is survived by his devoted wife, Delma, with whom he shared 58 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built and nurtured a loving family whose lives were forever enriched by his presence.
His legacy continues through his children: Ricardo Gomez; Rosaida Silvas; Minerva Valenzuela and her husband, Samuel; and Mireya Rodriguez and her husband, Richard.
He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Ricardo Gomez Jr. and his wife, Michelle; Alexandra Ruiz and her husband, Francisco; Jerek Silvas; Justin Silvas; Jenica Silvas; Aiden Valenzuela; Christian Valenzuela; Ryan Rodriguez and his wife, Lauren; Danielle Rodriguez; and Richard Rodriguez Jr.
Daniel was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Jaylen, Kayleigh, Emily, and Melanie Gomez, who brought him great joy and happiness.
Daniel was a talented carpenter, a profession that allowed him not only to provide for his family but also to create beauty and lasting works with his own hands. His craftsmanship was a reflection of his patience, dedication, and pride in everything he did.
Beyond his work, Daniel found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially music. He loved singing and listening to music, often bringing family and friends together with his melodious voice, laughter, and warm-hearted spirit. Those moments of music and togetherness will remain treasured memories for everyone who knew and loved him.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 7:00 PM at: Peaceful Garden Funeral Home 116 W. Fourth Street Pecos, Texas
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM, followed by burial at Mount Evergreen Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to gather together to honor Daniel’s life, share stories, and remember the love, laughter, music, and memories he gave so freely to those around him.
Daniel Gomez will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, hard work, and music will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
