David Hignojos

David Garcia Hignojos, 79, of Pecos, Texas passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, March 3, 2021. David was a life time Pecos resident and a Catholic.

David Garcia HIgnojos, was born in Barstow, Tx., on February 26, 1942 to Secundino Hignojos and Petra Garcia Hignojos. He married Inez Florez on January of 1962 in Pecos, Texas.

He was a retired employee of the Reeves County Detention Center in Pecos, Tx, where he was a Federal Prison Guard and Law Enforcement Correctional Officer for 25 years.

David is preceded in death by his parents; Secundino and Petra Garcia Hignojos, Sisters; Puabla Pena, Celia Campos, Brother Francisco Hignojos.

David is survived by his wife; Inez Florez Hignojos, Son; Salvador Hignojos (April), Sister; Juana Martinez, Grandchildren; Magdalena Hignojos, and Aynton Hignojos.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 9, 2021 at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home on 116 w.4th. st. in Pecos, Tx., from 9am to 8pm. and Wednesday March 10, 2021 from 9am to 8pm, with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be Thursday March 11, 2021 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church, it is requested that friends and family members be at the church at 9 am to be seated for the Funeral Mass at 10 am. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery after the Funeral Mass.

Due to Covid-19 Pandemic is requested that only 75 immediate family members be at the Funeral Home, masks and social distancing is to be maintained at all time at the Funeral Home and Church.
