Elisa Chavarria Chavez 63 of Pecos passed away Wednesday August 12, 2020 at the Reeves County Hospital. She was born July 30, 1957 in Pecos to Esequiel and Felis Carrasco Chavarria. She was a devout Christian Catholic, known to be the life of the party, funny, caring, and loving she never held a grudge towards anyone. She also loved Tejano Music and danced to it. She was also known to make the best hamburgers, loved red as you would see her wear the red color lipstick and red painted fingernails very frequently. Most of all she loved her family she was a devoted mother, wife, and being a grandmother was her best enjoyment. She also loved her sisters and treated them like her best friends and showed a special love towards her favorite son-in-law. Mom you will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Abel Chavez Sr, sister Dora C. Machuca, and stepdaughter Rosalinda Salgado.
Elisa is survived by daughter Liza Montano and husband Adrian of Pecos, and stepdaughters Elsa Nunez and husband Cosme of Pecos and Maria Galbadon and husband Lupe of Odessa, son Abel C Chavez Jr of Pecos, stepsons Alonzo Gomez and wife Nena of Pecos, Jesus Gomez and wife Nanette of Odessa, and Israel Chavez and wife Elvia of Kermit, sisters Maria Feliz Maldonado, Delia C. Pena and husband Juan and Erlinda C. Pinales and husband Ramiro Sr all of Pecos, brother Esequiel Chavarria Jr and wife Maria of Ft Worth.
Elisa also leaves to cherish her memory granddaughter Audree Cruz Montano of Pecos along with several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
DUE to Covid-19 visitation is set for 40 persons only Monday August 17, 2020 from 11am -4pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel masks are required with social distancing applying and Tuesday August 18, 2020 with the same Covid-19 guidelines from 9am-4pm with a family reciting a rosary at 2pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside service is set for 10am Wednesday August 19, 2020 at the Greenwood Cemetery with Father Jose Dela Cruz officiating. Social distancing and masks are required at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be; Bruce Machuca, Salvador Machuca, Freddy Mata, Ramiro Pinales Jr., Joe Galen Machuca, Ramiro Pinales Sr.
