Frances Orona

Frances Lopez Orona 71, of Pecos passed away Thursday July 11, 2019 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas. She was born May 12, 1948 Del Rio, Texas to Francisco Cruz Lopez and Maria Robles Lopez. She was disabled and a Christian believer. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Tomas Orona Jr.
Frances is survived by her daughters Barbara Ann Herrera and husband Frankie of Pecos, Tx. and Dominique Lopez of Midland, Tx. Sons Francisco L Orona and wife Isabel of Odessa, Tx. and Javier Antonio Orona and wife Elizabeth of Midland, Tx, and a sister Blanca Lopez Mascorro of San Antonio, Tx.. Frances also leaves to cherish her memories 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was loved by many of her patrons at the Flying J Truck Stop where she worked for over 20 years. She was also loved by her children and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. One of her past times when she was not at the truck stop, was watching her favorite western movies on tv.
We the Orona family wishes to express our outmost sincere thank you to the Midland Rehab Nursing staff for the special care that was provided to Frances during her stay.
Visitation is set for Monday July 15, 2019 from 3pm-9pm and Tuesday July 16, 2019 from 9am-9pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services are set for 10am, Wednesday July 17, 2019 at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rey Carreon officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen cemetery.
