Manuel Ortega

Manuel Morales Ortega 73 of Pecos passed away Saturday September 12, 2020 at Odessa Regional Hospital in Odessa. He was born March 3, 1947 in Cuchillo Parado, Chihuahua Mexico to Basilio and Francisca Morales Ortega. He married Amalia Dominguez in Coyame Chihuahua Mexico in February 26, of 1966. Manuel in his early years of life worked on his farm in Cuchillo Parado. He worked as an insulator, and his later years was a carpenter. Manuel loved listening to musica nortena, cooking asado and other types of meals but his passion was being a platicador he loved sharing his knowledge and wisdom of his life with everyone. But his greatest love of all was being around with his wife and family. He especially loved being around his grandchildren. Dad you will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Pilar Lujan, and brothers Juan, Seferino, and Gregoria ‘Goyo’ Ortega. Manuel is survived by his wife Amalia D Ortega of Pecos, son Basilio Ortega of Pecos, brothers Juan Ortega and wife Griselda of Odessa, and Clemente and wife Manuela of Cuchillo, Parado Mexico.

Manuel also leaves to cherish his memory 4 grandchildren Julian Ortega, Briana Ortega, Ariana Ortega, and Yuliana Ortega.

Due to Covid 19- visitation is set for 40 persons only with 6 feet social distancing and masks guidelines applying Tuesday September 15, from 1pm-4pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Wednesday September 16, 2020 from 9am-4pm with a rosary at 2pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside service is set for 10am Thursday September 17, 2020 at Greenwood cemetery with Father Jose dela Cruz officiating. Same Covid-19 guidelines apply at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Julian Ortega, Alex Ortega, Ramon Ortega, Clemente Ortega, Leonel Ortega and Obed Cervantes
