Manuel Salcido

Manuel R. Salcido 83, of Pecos passed away Friday November 15, 2019 at Baylor Scott White Hospital in Dallas, Tx. He was born June 11, 1936 in Balmorhea, Tx to Canuto Salcido Sr. and Josefa Ramos Salcido. He married Ruby Carrasco in El Paso, Tx and were married for 66 years until her passing. He was a Christian catholic and owned and operated Salcido Sand & Gravel Inc since 1970 until his health declined.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruby C. Salcido, grandson Isaac Chavez, sisters Maria “Marruca” Salcido, Margarita “Magee” Rodriguez and Louisa ”Licha” Dutchover, brothers Canuto Jr, Lupe, Juan, Benito Salcido and Juanito Ornelas.

Manuel is survived by his daughters Suzanne S. Dominguez and husband Butch, and Sheryl Salcido all of Pecos, Tx., Zane Martinez and husband Manuel of Lubbock, Tx. and Sharon Salcido-Lewis of Hobbs, N Mexico. Sons Manuel Russ Salcido and wife Peggy of Pecos, Tx and Bruce Salcido and wife Belinda of Lucas, Tx. Sister Connie “Chelo” Orona and husband Sabino of Odessa.

Mr. Salcido also leaves to cherish his memories 12-grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visitation is set for Wednesday November 20, 2019 at 9am-9pm with a rosary at 7:30pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass will be celebrated 11 am Thursday November 21, 2019 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen cemetery.
