Pilar Montoya Jr.

Pilar Montoya Jr., 62, of Balmorhea, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2021 in Midland, Texas.

Pilar was born in Pecos, Texas to Ramona and Pilar Montoya Sr. on November 11, 1958. He went to school at Balmorhea High. He worked as a truck driver for many years. He was a veteran and served in the Army. He was a hardworking, fun loving man. He was always joking, playing with his sisters, nieces, and nephews. He had a nickname for everyone, Dilly Dilly, Wylie Coyote, Prieta, Roni Baloney, and turkeys were some of the many nick names he had for his loved ones. He loved to read, listen to music and have a good time. He loved to be outdoors caring for horses and hunting. He never went anywhere with out his cowboy hat.

Pilar is preceded in death by his loving parents Ramona B. and Pilar Q. Montoya Sr. and his beloved sister Irma M. Lujan.

Pilar is survived by his son; Patrick Pilar Montoya of Odessa, TX, daughter; Valerie Flora Montoya Michael Villeneuve of Odessa, TX, sisters; Braulia M. Natividad Sammy Natividad of Balmorhea, TX, Luz Barrandey of Van Horn, TX, beloved grandchildren; Evyn Castillo, Nayeli Dominguez, Jalen, and Jerren Villeneuve all of Odessa, TX, 6 nieces, 1 nephew, and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joel Natividad, Jared Lozano, Damian Reyes, Rene Muniz, Rene Muniz Jr, and Victor Mondragon

Visitiation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday, February 1, 2021 at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home in Pecos, TX, with Rosary at 2 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Christ the King Church. Burial will follow at Balmorhea Cemetery.

Due To COVID-19 Pandemic mask must be worn at all times and maintain social distancing, and as well at the Cemetery.
