Ramona Campos, 85, of Toyah, Tx., passed away on December 9, 2020.
Ramon was born in Toyah, Texas to Pedro and Josefa Campos on April 12, 1935. She was a graduate of Toyah High School and retired in 2000 from the Pecos-Barstow-Toyah Indelented School District. She served as a Toyah City Council member for 12 years. As her final public services, she served as Mayor of Toyah. Throughout her adult life, Ramona touched the lives of children and adults alike with love in her heart and smile on her face. She was a devoted friend to many, and she will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Olivia Guerra and Florinda Martinez.
Ramona is survived by her brother Edward Campos of Ft. Collins, CO and her sister Loretta Campos of Toyah, Texas. She is loves and remembered by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation and Rosary will be from 1pm. to 1:45pm. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home, 114 W. 4rd. St., Pecos, Tx. Please plan on wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing.
Funeral services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation and rosary at the Toyah Catholic Cemetery. Because of COVID-19 and with an abundance of caution for family and friends, there will not be any gathering after the burial.
