Gregorio “Goyo” Valeriano

Gregorio “Goyo” Valeriano 75, of Pecos passed away Saturday January 25, 2020 at Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa. He was born November 2, 1944 to Casimiro and Manuela Sanchez Valeriano in San Antonio del Bravo Chihuahua Mexico. He was a supervisor for Reliable Transportation Company and a was an usher at Santa Rosa Catholic Church and participated in many Acts retreats.

He married Ofelia Acosta in Pecos, Tx in1965. She passed away July 9, 2004.

Also preceding him in death are his parents, wife Ofelia Valeriano, son Sergio Valeriano, and brothers Arturo and Hector Valeriano.

“Goyo” was very dedicated to his work, but he also enjoyed his horses, his passion was singing and was very good at it. He loved his grandkids and loved cooking Asado and bar-b-cueing for his entire family. He also had a 1969 Plymouth GTX that he occasionally, would sport around town. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by daughters Leslie Hidalgo and husband Edward of Lubbock, Tx. Susie Valeriano of Pecos, Tx., Sonia Valeriano and Josie Valeriano and husband Rodolfo Beltran all of Odessa, Tx. sons Joel Valeriano and wife Luzelva, and Samuel and wife Priscilla all of Odessa, Tx. sisters Rosa Valles and husband Victorio, Alicia Magana and husband Pilo, and Lupe Michaelis and husband Gordon all of Pecos, Tx. and Yolanda Chavarria and husband Gerardo of Odessa, Tx. brothers Jesus Valeriano and wife Anna of Houston, Tx., Pedro Valeriano and wife Basilisa and Alonzo Gomez and wife Nena all of Pecos, Tx, Clemente Gonzalez and wife Herlinda of Indio California.

“Goyo” leaves to cherish his memories 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

Also cherishing his memories are several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation is set for Tuesday January 28, 2020 from 9am-9pm with a rosary at 7:30pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass is set for 10am Wednesday January 29, 2020 at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with Father Fernando Bonilla officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood cemetery.
