Johnny P. Hernandez 67, of Pecos, passed away in his home on April 20, 2023 in Pecos, Texas.

Visitation for Johnny will be held on Monday April 24, 2023 from 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. With a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel:

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel; Presiding George Luna, Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.

Johnny P. Hernandez was born Pecos, Texas to Hustacio F. Hernandez and Gabina P. Hernandez on November 24, 1955. He went to school at Pecos School district. He married Maria C. Luna (Hernandez) on August 25, 1972 in Pecos. He worked as a Custodian for Pecos School District for 43 years. His second job was landscaping for 39 years. He was awarded a medal for his dedication and years of service to Pecos school district.

Johnny is preceded in death by his father Hustacio F. Hernandez, brother Hipolito Hernandez, Nicolas Hernandez, sister Lydia Davis and granddaughter Delysa Hernandez. He is survived by his, spouse of 51 years Maria L. Hernandez: Sons and daughters; George M. Luna, Robert Diaz, Norma Luna, Maria Luna, Elizabeth Burge, Johnny Hernandez Jr., Joe Luis Hernandez, and Danny Hernandez and their spouses, followed by his brothers, Alfonso Hernandez, Robert Hernandez, Henry Hernandez and sisters, Rosa H. Alvarado, Amelia Cameron, Sylvia Garcia, Margarita Sanchez, Carolino Najera, and Delma Russlla: Mother Gabina P. Hernandez living: 23-Grandchildren and 11 great-Grandchildren: Pallbearers will be Jayden Hernandez, Matthew Casias, Toby Hernandez, Kevin Luna, Nathan Hernandez, and Joey Garibaldi.
