Ricardo Florez

Ricardo Hernandez Florez, 57, of Pecos, Texas passed from this world on January 1st, 2020 in his hometown of Pecos.

Ricardo, lovingly known as “Ricky”, was born in Pecos to Isabel and Faustino Florez on October 30th, 1962. He was raised in Pecos, a town he loved. For 22 years he worked as a devoted Correctional Officer for Reeves County before retiring in 2017. He married Jennifer Reeves on September 24th, 2009.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Gloria Ontiveros and Grace Tarango and brother Faustino Florez Jr.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer R. Florez of Pecos, Tx., daughters Emory and McKaela Florez, and Amber Lee Baeza all of Pecos, Tx. sisters Yolanda Florez, Connie Herrera and husband Alvaro, and Olga Munoz and husband Ramon all of Pecos, Tx. brother Roberto Hernandez and wife Rosemary of Tucson, Az.

Ricky leaves to cherish his memories his beloved nieces, nephews, friends and other extended family.

We the family express a sincere thank you to all who knew and loved Ricky and mourn his loss.

Visitation will be Friday January 3, 2020 from 1pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday January 4, 2020 at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel with pastor David Sandoval officiating.

Cremation will follow.
